First Hard Workout

I wanted to see where I was at with my training so I decided to do a tempo run today.  I did a half mile warm up, 4 mile tempo, and a half mile cool down.  If I had time I would have done more warm up and cool down but I was crunched for time.  I ran on the Linear Trail because it was mostly flat and wanted this to be a positive experience.  I ran 24:00 for my 4 miles which was exactly where I wanted to be.  I was hoping that 6 min/mile wouldn't be to difficult and it wasn't.  I probably won't do this workout again for a while as I was just wanting to see where I was in my fitness.
